School day
The school day is divided into five one-hour lessons. Every week, each year group has one assembly and four personal development sessions. Afternoon registration takes place at the beginning of Period 4.

Over the course of the week, students study an extensive form time programme for 40 minutes each day.
Assembly - bringing together the year group for a collective assembly covering a multitude of themes, including: rewards assemblies, external inspirational speakers or college inputs, students receive valuable inputs covering school and wider life.
Standards & Culture - focusing on what is means to be a successful Rastrick High School student. This includes activities for students reflecting on their Engagement in school, Enrichment and Attendance.
Read Aloud - one aspect of our literacy strategy in school where students have dedicated reading time to enjoy a wide range of fictional and non-fictional books.
Worldy Wise - a dedicated form time session created by dedicated Rastrick staff on current affairs, key events regionally, nationally and worldwide, aimed at broadening students' horizons and their knowledge of the world.
PSHCE - our statutory programme of study is taught weekly with further details available to view in the Personal Development section of our website.
